Accommodations
UK welcomes you to the North Midlands and East Midlands, England!
A wide
range of scenery is contained within the counties of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire,
Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire. Nottinghamshire
is famous for rose cultivation and is of course land of Sherwood Forest, home
of legendary Robin Hood. With its rich, dark fenland soils Lincolnshire,
in East Midlands, is Britain's largest agricultural county. Lincolnshire produces
large amounts of wheat, barley, sugarbeet and oilseed rape. Rutland is traditionally
England's smallest county. The two principal towns are Oakham, the county town,
and Uppingham.
Derbyshire is bordered in the north-west by Cheshire, in the north by Yorkshire,
in the east by Nottinghamshire, in the south by Leicestershire and in the west
by Staffordshire. Derbyshire has the moorland, valleys and rocky crags of the
Peak District.
Buxton is a spa town at the heart of the Peak District
National Park in the county of Derbyshire, England. Set 1000 feet above sea level,
Buxton is a popular holiday resort. With stunning scenery, magnificent architecture,
a wealth of shops, a thriving arts scene and its world-famous spa water, Buxton
has plenty to offer any visitor.
